Founded in 2009 by Chef Murugan Pillai, Varsity Kitchen grew from a belief that authentic Tamil cooking deserves a space that honours its complexity. We source fresh produce daily from Salem's Shevapet and Suramangalam markets.
Nothing is frozen, nothing is hurried. Our masalas are stone-ground each morning, our broths slow-simmered for hours. The result is food that carries the patience of a grandmother's kitchen.
